International English Language Testing System is clearly the test created to check the proficiency level of English for non-native speakers of English. There are a lot of aspects of this exam apart from the knowledge you get about the modules, formats and skills you need to clear the test which are equally important and must be known, the Best IELTS Coaching Center will tell you about that. Here is a glimpse of those aspects:
Test Dates: The IELTS test is of two types; Academic and General Training and both could be taken either on computer or on paper. The date is booked for the three modules that happen on the same day (Writing, Reading & Listening) and the speaking test happened 3-4 days before or after the booked test date. You get the schedule and center for that through the email so you must check your email regularly.
Paper Based IELTS: There are a total of 48 test dates usually for the paper based IELTS for Academic students throughout the year (the calendar is available on the exam conducting body’s website) and out of these dates, on 24 dates the General Training test also happens.
CD-IELTS: Computer delivered IELTS test has no such selected dates in the year and it can be taken on all 7 days of the week.
The fee for the test is 17000 INR at present. The IELTS coaching centers can book it for their students if authorized by IDP, BC or Cambridge English Assessment.
Test Paper: There are a lot of rumors and myths spread about the difficulty level of the test as per the dates or center on the internet and many students believe on them and then have to face the disappointment because they do not prepare too well for the test. Thus, it is important for you to know that nothing like that can happen, there is no impact of dates or center on the test paper as it is designed by experts on the basis of the guidelines provided by the exam conducting bodies (BC, IDP & Cambridge English Assessment).
Results & Revaluation Rules: The scoring for IELTS is done on the bands ranging from 0-9 where 0 is for no attempt. The test takers are assigned bands as per their performance:
Band Score | Proficiency Level | Remarks |

8 | Very Good User | Has good command in English with minor and occasional mistakes. Can handle complex and detailed communication well. |
7 | Good User | Is an effective user of the language with occasional inaccuracies. Is able to communicate well using and understanding complex language. |

The results are valid for two years. If you happen to score less but are sure that you performed well then you can apply for revaluation as well. Also, you can also take a single module retake in case of CD-IELTS if you have scored less in one of the module.
Re-evaluation of the Score: If you believe that you could have score more based upon the attempt, you can ask for remark (Enquiry on Results – EOR) of either one or all modules by paying the remarking fee which is 11,500INR currently. You need to do that within six weeks of the test date and the results will be announced in two to twenty one days. If the scores change after remarking then this amount will be refunded to you. The Chandigarh IELTS Coaching centers which book the IELTS test can also apply for the remarking.
Score verification by the Universities or educational institutes: The universities or organizations can check and verify the applicant’s score by registering for the TRF verification services of IELTS.
