Netherlands Travel Visa Requirement

Documents Required for a Netherlands Visitor Visa:

1. Original Passport: The passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the intended return date from the Netherlands/Schengen area and must have a minimum of 2 blank visa pages.
2. Digital Photo: Two photos, 35mm wide × 45mm high, white background, matte finish.
3. Visa Application Form: Schengen Visitor Visa Application Form, filled and signed.
4. Cover Letter: A personal cover letter mentioning the purpose of the visit (visiting family/friend), relationship with the host, travel dates, itinerary, and who will bear expenses.
5. Invitation Letter from Host: Must include the following:

7. Purpose & duration of visit
8. Relationship proof
9. Signature of host
10. If the host is sponsoring, mention full sponsorship in the letter.
11. Host’s Documents :

• Passport copy / Residence permit copy

• BRP card (if applicable)

• Address proof (rental contract/utility bill)

• Sponsor’s Documents (if host is sponsoring):
• Last 3 months salary slips
• Last 6 months bank statement
• Employment letter or business documents
• Income tax/tax returns (if available)
• Proof of Relationship: Birth certificate, marriage certificate, family photos, communication proof (whichever applies).
• Flight Reservation: Round-trip confirmed or tentative flight booking (no need to buy tickets before visa).
• Accommodation Proof: Host invitation along with the host’s address OR hotel booking (if partly staying in a hotel).
• Travel Insurance: Policy covering a minimum of EUR 30,000, valid for the entire Schengen area and full travel duration.
• Financial Documents (if self-funded):

• Last 6 months’ personal bank statement

• Last 2 years ITR

• Last 3 months salary slips

• Company registration / GST (if self-employed)

• Employment Documents:
•  If employed: Employment letter + leave approval
•  If self-employed: GST/Shop Act/Registration + business bank statement
•  If student: Bonafide certificate + NOC from college & parents

Documents Required for a Netherlands Study Visa:

• Original Passport: The passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay in the Netherlands and must have a minimum of 2 blank visa pages.
• Digital Photo: One recent photo, 35mm wide × 45mm high, white background, matte finish.
• University Admission Letter: Official Letter of Acceptance from the Dutch university/college confirming admission to a full-time program.
• Tuition Fee Payment Proof :
  Receipt showing full or partial payment of tuition fees as required by the university.
• Financial Requirement Proof: Proof that you can cover living expenses (approx. €1,200 per month):
• Bank statement (last 3 months)
• Education loan sanction letter (if applicable)
• Sponsor affidavit (if sponsored)
• Sponsor’s bank statement & ITR (last 2 years)
• Academic Documents :

• 10th & 12th mark sheets

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree + transcripts

• Entrance test scores (if required)
• Health Insurance: Proof of health insurance valid in the Netherlands until university insurance is activated.
• Birth Certificate: Original birth certificate (English version or translated and apostilled).
• Tuition/Scholarship Documents : If scholarship awarded:
